Plot Description

Richard Preston delivers a best-selling, true account of the very first occurrence of the highly infectious Ebola virus. As a deadly virus emerges from the central African rain forest transitions into the area of Washington, D.C., there is no cure to stop its destruction of the human body within a matter of days--90 percent of the victims who have contracted the virus are left dead. Scientific exploration took place within Kitum Cave in Kenya to provide research and explantion leading to the discovery of the origin of the Ebola virus, while the research lab becomes otherwise known as the "hot zone". The efforts of a secret miliary team also set out to put and end to the deadly outbreak.
